Strategy: Item Cloning

What in the world is Item Cloning?

It is a strategy whereby co-op members duplicate a certain item instead of crafting them.  This requires at least 3 co-op members.

This trick/strategy may have been born due to the most often unrealistic needs of Eddie aka Greedy Eddie.

Everyone must have experienced being required to gather 75 x 3 Strawberries or produce 12 Champagnes. This takes a lot of time to gather or produce.

This strategy is the solution but it requires teamwork so you'd better find a very helpful co-op out there. Lucky for me, mine is!

Here's how it is done:

Requirements:

     -   At least 3 co-op members including you
     -   One of you has at least 1 of the item you wish to clone

Steps:
  1. Ask politely whether someone has time to help you.
  2. The one who has the item posts it and notifies everyone at the chat.
  3. The other members opens their co-op market and checks out  whether it has been posted (Don't buy just yet).
  4. The other members confirm in the chat that they see the item in the market.
  5. When every participating member has already confirmed, they can all buy the item.
  6. Afterwards, one of them re-posts the item and the steps are repeated until the required quantity of item is reached.
Note:

From Steps 4 to 6, the buying members should not refresh the co-op market or exit the chat or else this strategy will not work because the item will be marked as SOLD.

Whether this is a cheat or a strategy is up for you to decide.

As of the time of posting, this strategy still works.

In my opinion, The FV2 developers may patch this in the future but I think it would require a little bit more phone/tablet resources to force the co-op market to refresh every time somebody buys from it. They might think twice before doing so.

Aliases for Farm Products

Some of the names of farm products in FV2:CE are lengthy.

Considering that the number of characters in chat are limited in and most play the game in either tablet or mobile phones, the players have resorted to using short-names or aliases.

This guide might help ease in newbies into knowing them.

In my co-op, this is how we name some of them:

Product Alias
Champagne Champ, Champers
Tomatoes Toms
Potatoes Pots, Spuds
Pinot Noir Pinot
Tomato Juice Tom Ju, TJ
Chardonnay Chards
Beeswax Candle Beeswax

This is still an open list. I will add some in the future.

Co-Op Etiquette

Even games need some playing etiquette, too, especially when it is a social game. Having good playing etiquette is a win-win for everyone. This way everybody gets to enjoy the game.

Here are the things that you should and should not do:

DOs
  1. Ask help politely and patiently wait for a reply.
  2. Say "Please", "Thank You" and "You're Welcome" whenever appropriate.
  3. Try to help first before getting help, if possible.
  4. Greet everyone when you are online.
  5. Let everyone know when you're going offline.
  6. Use the common language of your co-op when chatting.
  7. Before buying from the co-op market, check the chat log first. The item that you are buying might be intended for somebody else.
  8. Help whenever you can.

DON'Ts
  1. Do not do "Co-op Hopping" whereby you join co-ops just to get what you need and then leave after.
  2. Do not get angry when nobody answers you or gives you help.
